the SPCA and American Humane Society, to strengthen the bond between you and your canine companion. Whether its teaching
puppy manners or tackling a nagging behavior problem, you and your dog will be treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Smart
Paws does not employ the use of force-training, including, but not limited to, shock (a.k.a. "remote")
collars, choke collars, prong collars, yelling, hitting, helicoptering, flooding, or any other aversive techniques. Studies
have shown a scientific, animal learning theory approach to behavior modification is more effective and more humane
than that out-dated methods that cause unwanted side-effects. We are well versed in all current training methods
available to you, including that of coersive and correction-style training and pack or dominance theory, animal learning
theory, and clicker training.
To fit your busy life, Smart Paws is geared specifically
towards private, in-home training and behavior consultations. Specializing in (but certainly not limited to!) deaf dogs
and bully breeds, and covering everything from basic obedience, competition obedience, and CGC & therapy dog prep to manners,
aggression, seperation anxiety, and more, Smart Paws has everything you need to teach your pup to be a well-rounded canine
citizen.
